Hey guys, I have my new build up and running. Any good references to a mid range headset?

I use these,

Proper gaming immersion and the music playback is pretty impressive too, crisp high end and deeeep bass. The software they come with lets you muck about with them until they sound just right. They look huge but are actually quite light.

Got these for like $75 on sale, like em a lot:

Only problem is my mobo doesn't really like stuff doing BT when it reboots, have to unplug them or shit goes weird. Wife has the same pair, different mobo, no problems.

But there is a newer model, if that matters to you.

I owned that headset and enjoyed it a lot, but found it eventually broke at the point in which you can make it bigger and had to tape the living shit out of it

No better headset for that price. Believe me. It's Logitech.

There are so many damn Headset Manufactures as you can tell by the various responses in this thread already. Most of them are below average to just plain bad. If you heart is set on a Gaming Headset then the only one I can really recommend are the HyperX Cloud Gaming Headset for $68 or the newer model HyperX Cloud II Gaming Headset for $100. That is about it for good gaming headsets around $100 everything else is just not worth your time.

If you want to look into having much better audio there are a few videos you can check out depending on how much you want to spend for around $50 dollars you can watch this

or for around $150 you can watch this

This is the headset I use!

I bought this several months ago back in the Summer time, and it's super awesome! So far I have convinced John and Steve to get this headset lol

The material quality of the headset is very, very good. The headrest/band thing is cushioned with leather and you really don't even feel it when you wear it, it's just comfy as hell. The mic detaches, which is nice... The sound quality is actually pretty damn good, but I also have a Creative Sounds Blaster Z sound card that processes all sound in/out of the headset which makes it just that much better. Although the sound quality is still top notch without it. There are two types of cushions that come with it, leather and a super soft clothe like one that's really comfortable if you wear glasses. Now, the leather one's isolate sound way better than the clothe and are more comfy IMO, but the clothe ones are still very comfy and isolate well to. All around a solid headset for a solid price!

I'd recommend trying to find any of the headsets listed by people on Amazon because they can typically be found on sale, or just generally cheaper than other sellers...
